The physics colloquium takes place each Thursday at 4:25 pm in Lewis Lab, room 316.
It features presentations by expert guest speakers from many different subfields of physics. Each speaker dedicates at least half the time of their presentation to a general introduction of the topic that should be accessible to advanced undergraduate students and graduate students, before showcasing their own work in that area.
Our aim for the physics colloquium is to be a venue where the latest developments in all branches of physics are presented in a way that is accessible to non-expert physicists.
The physics colloquium is open to everyone, but we invite in particular undergraduate physics majors and physics graduate students.
Please see the physics colloquium schedule on our events page. A list of recent presentations can also be seen here.
